Parliamentarian Training
The Role of the Parliamentarian: Avoiding Ambisinistrous Meetings
Have you ever attended a meeting where it doesn’t appear that the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing? This interactive workshop will review the roles and responsibilities of the parliamentarian and introduce parliamentary procedure basics that can be used during in-person meetings and adapted for virtual meetings.
- The take-away will foster a good working relationship between the presiding
officers and the parliamentarian consultants.
- Target Audience: Chapter Parliamentarians and Chapter Board Members.
Come prepared for a great learning experience. Attached is a copy of PTANA’s Bylaws and Policies and Procedures to use as your reference documents. Please review these two documents in advance. This workshop will be conducted by PTANA’s Registered Parliamentarian, Ms. Darlene Allen (see bio below). After the completion of this interactive workshop and a short question and answer review session, you will receive a certificate that would serve as one of your membership certification’s documents.
The meeting will take place virtually:
